These terms govern your use of TalkOnce. TalkOnce is a private messenger — we can't read your messages, and with that privacy comes shared responsibility for how the app is used. By using TalkOnce, you agree to these terms.

1Who can use TalkOnce

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use TalkOnce. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using it under applicable law.

2Your account and keys

TalkOnce creates a private cryptographic identity on your device. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, your passcodes, and any backup you create. Because your keys and history live on your device and we hold neither, we cannot recover your account, messages, or backup if you lose your device or your backup passphrase.

3Acceptable use

You agree not to use TalkOnce to break the law or to harm others. In particular, you agree not to use it to:

• Send unlawful, abusive, harassing, or threatening content;
• Exploit or endanger minors;
• Distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack the service or its infrastructure;
• Infringe others' intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

Because content is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot monitor it. On public surfaces such as channels and stories, we may act on reports and remove content or accounts that violate these terms or the law.

4The service is provided "as is"

We work hard to make TalkOnce reliable and secure, but we provide it "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that messages will always be delivered. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of TalkOnce.

5Privacy

Your use of TalkOnce is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what little data our servers handle and the much larger amount we deliberately never collect.
